Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have encountered difficulties with achieving and maintaining an erection since the early days of my marriage. Interestingly, I did not face any issues when watching porn and masturbating before. However, it has now been a month, and I sense my wife's frustration. What steps can I take to address this situation and improve our intimate life? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). The reasons for erectile dysfunction (ED) are:

Stress due to work or family-related, night duties - Plan for regular exercise

and yoga.

Depression.

Varicocele - Ultrasound scrotum can help diagnose

Fear of failure - Having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED.

Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).

Homosexuality - Not attracted to the same sex.

Religious constraints.

Smoking and alcohol.

Long-term illness - Cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.

Simple vitamin deficiency - You can use multivitamin tablets.

Negative attitude towards your partner.

Hormonal issue - Thyroid issue, low testosterone, or increased prolactin.

Long-term drug usage.

Diabetes and hypertension.

I would suggest checking the Doppler penis, USG (ultrasonography) pelvis and scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), free T3 (triiodothyronine) T4 (thyroxine), testosterone, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Share more details regarding the above reasons, we can work on diagnosis and treatment.

You need to plan for regular exercise and a proper diet. You can do some basic exercises like Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes. For the missionary sex position, consider incorporating planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, and glute bridges into your workout routine. For the standing sex position, focus on exercises like bicep curls, pull-ups, and jump squats to enhance your overall strength and endurance. If you prefer the doggy-style position, include exercises like jump squats and walking lunges to target various muscle groups and improve your agility. For the cowgirl or the girl-on-top move, incorporate glute bridges and leg raises into your exercise regimen to strengthen your core and lower body muscles.

Foods that you can add to your diet include strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a small amount of chocolate. As a temporary solution, I would suggest using the tablet Mildfil 5 mg twice a day.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
