Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 38 year old male, who is a regular smoker, and I work abroad. I go home for two months every year. From the last two years, I am facing problems in my sex life, when I go home. My penis is not getting erect fully, and when I try to penetrate, I lose my erection. I drink alcohol only during my vacation. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Erectile dysfunction is due to anxiety and stress, so relax and unwind. Do regular exercises. To exclude physical cause, you need to do the following blood tests:

  1. Postprandial blood sugar.
  2. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone).
  3. Prolactin.
  4. Testosterone.

Depending on the reports, the treatment is advised. Stop smoking.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for replying. It is a lot of stress to work in a foreign country. All these tests are very expensive in the country I work. When I went home for vacation, my blood sugar was 340. I did not want to take medicines, so I neglected it. I would like to have some solutions before I travel back home. Please help. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your blood sugar is high, and you have to get treatment. If you do not take tablets now, then you will have to take injections afterwards. High blood sugar is the cause of erectile dysfunction.Without controlling the blood sugar, no medicine will help. For high blood sugar, see a physician.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
