Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My girlfriend and I have never had sex before. We tried having sex twice, but I could not get my penis hard enough for penetration. It gets hard during foreplay, but when I put on the condom and it is time for penetration, my penis goes soft. My current medication includes the intake of vitamins. Please help.

Thank you

Hello,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I can understand your concern.

According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). Reasons for erectile dysfunction include:

  1. Stress related to work or family, night duties: Consider regular exercise and yoga.
  2. Depression.
  3. Varicocele: An ultrasound of the scrotum can help with diagnosis.
  4. Fear of failure - Experiencing ED once may lead to anxiety about future occurrences.
  5. Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).
  6. Homosexuality (not being attracted to the same sex).
  7. Religious constraints.
  8. Smoking and alcohol consumption.
  9. Long-term illnesses such as cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other condition requiring prolonged medication.
  10. Simple vitamin deficiency: Consider taking tablets Zincovit (multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplement) and Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D3).
  11. Negative attitude towards your partner.
  12. Hormonal issues such as thyroid problems, low testosterone, and increased prolactin.
  13. Long-term drug usage.
  14. Diabetes and hypertension.

You should undergo tests such as Doppler penis, USG (ultrasound) pelvis and scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), and testosterone. Providing more details about the above reasons can help with diagnosis and treatment planning. Consider regular exercise and a proper diet. Practice basic exercises like Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes. For specific sexual positions:

  1. Missionary: Planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, and glute bridges.
  2. Standing: Bicep curls, pull-ups, and jump squats.
  3. Doggy style: Jump squats and walking lunges.
  4. Cowgirl or the girl on top: Glute bridges and leg raises.

Regarding food, consider incorporating strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a small amount of chocolate. For a temporary solution, I suggest you take the tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day.
