Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am concerned about my inability to erect during intercourse. My penis naturally erects during masturbation but does not erect during intercourse. I had previously suffered from depression, anxiety, and overthinking. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

According to your complaints, you may be suffering from Erectile dysfunction (ED). It can be caused due to various reasons such as the following.

  1. Stress due to work or family-related.
  2. Depression.
  3. Fear of failure (having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with it).
  4. Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation)
  5. Homosexuality,
  6. Religious constraints.
  7. Smoking and alcohol.
  8. Long-term illness such as cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication
  9. Simple Vitamin deficiency.
  10. Negative attitude towards your partner
  11. Hormonal issue.
  12. Long-term drug usage.
  13. Diabetes and hypertension.

I suggest you follow the below-mentioned instructions:

  1. Get a doppler penis, USG (ultrasound) pelvis, and scrotum.
  2. Check for blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), thyroid hormones, and testosterone levels.
  3. Exercise regularly and follow a proper diet.
  4. Take a tablet of Maildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
