How can a medical aspirant overcome his fear of performance and stay calm in a medical entrance exam?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a medical aspirant and I have my medical entrance exam after three days. I want you to tell me how I can fall ill because I am scared and want to avoid this exam. I do not want to disappoint my parents. I aim to be a doctor, but I need one more year. I will try my best this year and give the exam the next year. Please help me overcome my fear.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I think you should stop getting worried. Just give your exam and learn from your failure. If you score less or fail, ask your parents to give you one more year or the last chance for exam preparation. Finally, face your situation with courage. To be a doctor, you need enough courage to face failure.
