Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 24 years old. I feel like I will faint whenever I walk or move my neck. My eyes do not focus on one object. I did an MRI scan, but the reports were normal. I am not able to move my eyes too much. I have a feeling that my eyes are tired to move. I have no pain but have a vomiting sensation. And my heartbeat increases after 20 minutes of walking or moving my head. What is the reason?
Kindly share your opinion.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query in detail and can understand your concern.
Your description classically fits into a tension headache. Tension headaches usually present with heaviness in the head, a band-like sensation over the head, and disturbed sleep. I suggest you to see a specialist who will evaluate you for other organic causes of headaches. They will get your MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) brain done if needed.
Tension headaches are treated with antidepressants like Amitriptyline (tricyclic antidepressant) or SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) like Escitalopram. However, I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below,
1. It would be best if you get your eyesight tested.
2. Try to keep your stress levels low and be happy.
3. Start meditating. That will help you get rid of these headaches.
I hope this has helped you.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your reply.
There is no headache now. However, I feel nauseous and feel that everything around me is moving . Also, I am getting my eyesight tested tomorrow. Should I take the tricyclic antidepressant Amitriptyline or SSRIs like Escitalopram?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
This feeling that you have is known as peripheral vertigo. I suggest you to get your eyes tested and consult an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist for ear evaluation. The medicines I discussed earlier will work for you if everything is normal. Please consult with a specialist, talk to them and take the medications with their consent.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
