Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am having some obstruction feel in the throat and vomiting sensation for the past 20 days. There is a feeling of giddiness and strain to the eyes. I do not have any pain or burning sensation. Please suggest some treatment.

Answered by Dr. Nageswara Rao

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. In order to gather more clinical details about your symptoms and medical history, several questions need to be addressed. Firstly, it is important to determine if there is any difficulty in swallowing liquids and solids, as well as the presence of vomiting or only the sensation of vomiting. Past medical history becomes relevant, specifically regarding acid reflux disease, fever, weight loss, or loss of appetite. It is also important to inquire about smoking habits, alcohol consumption, and the presence of diabetes or hypertension. Family history of malignancies should be considered, as well as the use of any regular medication. In terms of medication, I suggest discussing the option of Pantosec DSR (a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone) with your doctor and obtaining their consent before initiating treatment. Taking this tablet once a day before breakfast for two weeks may be recommended, but it is important to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice and guidance.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do not have any problem in swallowing. I have only the vomiting sensation. Only vomiting sensation. I do not have any other symptoms except feeling feverish. I am an ex-smoker and quitted smoking before a year. I will drink alcohol very occasionally. I had Levomac 500 one per day for the past three days.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

  • Why are you using Levomac 500? Check your CBP (completed blood picture), blood sugars, serum electrolytes, LFT (liver function tests) and serum creatinine.
  • Go for upper GI endoscopy, so that you can have a diagnosis.
  • I suggest you tablet Pantosec DSR as earlier for two weeks. If no improvement, then go for endoscopy.

Revert back after two weeks to an internal medicine physician online --> https://www.icliniq.com/ask-a-doctor-online/internal-medicine-physician

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
