Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am suffering from fever for the past three days. I am taking Amoxicillin and Paracetamol as prescribed by the doctor. The temperature reduces for some time. I have other symptoms too. I have a sore throat, pain in both the eyelids and pain in forehead.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Fever is a sign of infection or an inflammatory reaction taking place in the body. Infections like flu, or any viral infection, tonsillitis, or any bacterial infections can cause a high fever. Take a complete blood examination to rule out the disease. You may have a bacterial infection, viral infection, pyrexia of unknown origin. Take lots of warm oral fluids, and take proper rest. Take antipyretics like Brufen (Ibuprofen). Change antibiotics to a stronger one if the blood test shows bacterial infection or antiviral drugs if the test shows a viral infection. Take lots of fruits such as oranges and vegetables. Take vaccination annually in case of influenza infection.
