Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am worried I damaged my penis last night while masturbating. While I was doing it, I felt a stretch-like sensation in the middle underside of my penis, and my erection went from 100 percent to 0 percent very fast. Since then, I am not able to reach even a semi-erection. When I try to get an erection, I just get a slight stinging feeling in the middle of the penis, but no erection and the penis is contracted in a flaccid state. What do you think has happened? Should I be worried and seek a doctor's appointment?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for consulting.
You should see a doctor if you get any swelling, bruise, or pain which is not resolving, otherwise no need. You got this issue yesterday, and it will take few days of rest before you get an erection again. Sometimes during forceful masturbation, you have a small ligament tear. This leads to loss of erection for few days. Therefore please give yourself some rest and do not try getting erected for few days, say like five to seven days.
If you have any more queries, please do not hesitate to ask.
Kind regards.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the answer.
When you say ligament tear, do you mean the ligament inside the penis?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Yes, the ligament inside the penis. There is no need for any surgical repair.
