Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have what looks like a whitehead on my labia/clitoris for over a month. Is it acne, and is it harmful?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through the image shared by you (attachment removed to protect patient identity).
Please share the following information for a better assessment.
When did you last shave or wax your private parts? Did you recently change your soap, body wash, or underwear? Is there any itching? Use V-wash to clean the area. Do not use hard body wash or soap to clean the area. Keep the area dry. Use loose cotton underwear and barrier contraception. Avoid intense exercise. The above should help, but I will request to share the above information to help you better. We also provide acne prescriptions online for acne treatment through our platform. Our online service connects you with qualified healthcare professionals who can assess your skin condition and provide personalized treatment recommendations.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I usually shave my private parts once every few days and do not wax. There is no itching and no recent change in body wash, soap, etc.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
This is folliculitis due to injury to skin because of frequent shaving. Please avoid shaving and instead do clipping of hair with scissors. You can apply antibacterial cream over the lesions.
