Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I think I have phimosis. The foreskin does not go back and head of the penis does not come out. I am 21. I got to know just now that it should retract. Till now I did not have any problem in urinating. No infection till now. Please suggest is there any problem in future? And if yes what I can do to correct it?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You have a tight prepuce that does not retract. Your preputial orifice is not so narrow as to cause difficulty in urination. However, you run the risk of paraphimosis in which your foreskin may get retracted and form a constriction ring causing the glans to swell. This occurs after intercourse. You need to get circumcised before sexual life.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
So is there any other method other than operation? Like stretching or something with cream? Is it a serious condition? Should I consult doctor or I get it cut just before my sexual life? Does circumcision harm in any way? Please describe in detail everything about this problem. Should I take tension because of this? I am very tensed since I know it does not retract. I anticipate a satisfactory answer. Help me.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
As per your description of the problem you need surgical removal of the foreskin that is circumcision. Stretching or cream does not help. It is a simple procedure. It is not an emergency. You need not get tensed. It will not harm you in any way.
