Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have red spots on my glans penis. I want to know the problem, and I am scared of having STI. Please help me out.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

If there was unprotected sex, one must consider sexually transmitted infections. If not, it can be a superficial bacterial infection. You can use ointment T Bact (Mupirocin) for local application and Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for five days. If there is itching, you need to think of a fungal infection and use ointment Candid B for itching and tablet Cetirizine once a night. Make sure you wash your genitalia twice daily, morning and night, and use no cold or hot water. Do not use heavy pH soap. I suggest you consult a specialist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
