Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old male, and I have been suffering from boils for 10 months back continuously (like they are coming and going and again coming and then going) after that a boil-type cyst formed eight months back in the private area, I did not care about it because I thought that it will go away but it has not gradually it formed as a hole. It gave no pain, formed a hole, liquid pus is coming from it and sometimes blood, only the hole is visible to me outside, some cyst is inside which releases pus daily, is there any medication for it? or I have to go to the hospital. Here I am including the images that I can capture, please suggest any medication that helps to solve this problem, and I request you to give a prescription for the medicines.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern. From the attached images (attachment removed to protect patient's identity) appears to be folliculitis or boil as per your explanation. Apply Fucidin cream twice daily for seven days (on folliculitis or on painful tender lesions). Apply Imiquimod 5 percent gel twice weekly for 16 weeks. If burning on irritation, apply Petrolatum jelly before application. Electrodessication or thermal cautery is a treatment option available.

Answer the below for further treatment details.

1. Are you a known case of diabetes?

2. Do you have a history of injury or trauma in the past?

3. Any chronic friction?

Do reply to guide you better.

Thank you
