Hello doctor,
I am suffering from fungal infection in the back of head for past three years. At first a pharmacist counsel me to use Oxiconazole 1 % cream twice a day in the infected area and to take tablet Fluconazole 200 mg twice a week. I followed his advise and I noticed some improvement within seven days. After two weeks, I thought I am fully recovered and stop taking the medicine. But few days later the infection started spreading again. So, I started to take the previous medicine again but this time there is very slow recovery. So the pharmacist told me to take tablet Fluconazole daily. I did the same for two weeks and I was fully recovered. But it spread again. And this time the medicine is not working. The infection is in my head area. What should I do now? Please answer.

I can understand your concern. Your condition is known as Tinea corporis or dermatophytosis. It is a type of superficial fungal skin infection. It can affect the neck, trunk, groin, buttocks, or any skin area along with nails too. Kindly use the following medicines for two weeks, then follow up Capsule Itraconazole 100 mg twice a day, Cream Luliconazole apply once at night, Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg once at night.
