Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My penis has been hurting and burning recently when I retract the foreskin from top to bottom. During sexual activity, my penis loses its rigidity, and the erections are short-lived. I am a diabetic and a heart patient who has also undergone spine surgery. My current medication includes drugs for diabetes and heart conditions.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Glad to have you back!

I am here to help you get the best medical advice.

I understand your concern.

It appears to be a fungal infection there. Clean the area regularly with soap and water. Apply Candidox (Ciclopirox) cream locally twice a day. Stay well-hydrated and drink plenty of water daily. I suggest you take the following medicines:

  1. Capsule Itraconazole 200 mg once a day.
  2. Tablet Bilastine 1 per day.
  3. Continue these medications for seven days alongside your current medicine.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
