Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had suffered from pharyngitis and had a fever for 20 to 25 days. I was on antibiotics for ten days. My throat is fine now, but I have really bad gastric issues. My stomach hurts, and there are a lot of acidities. I feel throat irritation at the moment after eating something from outside and also have pain in my neck muscles which has reduced. My concern at the moment is my body temperature fluctuates a lot, it was 97.0 degrees Fahrenheit in the morning, and now it is 98.5 degrees Fahrenheit. I do not feel feverish, but my head and neck are always warm, and I am on my menstrual cycle. So there is a loss of appetite at night. Everything is fine, but I do not feel dizzy when I move, and there is a mild headache, especially on my left eyebrows and head. Is it okay for body temperature to keep fluctuating so much? Is it okay for body temperature to keep fluctuating so much? Is 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit a safe temperature? I also attached my blood test results and my ultrasound reports with this query. Also, I feel bloated and belch after drinking or eating anything. How do I overcome all this? Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query,

I have gone through the reports as you have attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). No need to worry about temperature. It is a normal temperature. No need to worry about fever. By your history and description possibility of gastroesophageal reflux disease is more likely. I suggest you take the tablet Pantoprazole and Levosulpiride combination twice daily before food and take the syrup Guaifenesin (sodium benzoate, Sorbitol, Sucralose) two teaspoons thrice daily after food. Consult a nearby physician, discuss with them, and take the medication with their consent.

Please follow up for further assistance.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor.

Thank you for the reply.

I would say health is my stress. Since I had a fever for so long and have had gastric issues for almost a month now I get anxious. I fear that I have anything serious. Today I woke up with a really burning sensation in my throat and now my temperature is 99.2 degrees Fahrenheit the burning sensation had reduced but I have a really bad headache and of course, I have been fatigued for 20 to 30 days at this point. Doctor, are we missing any diagnosis? Is there anything big? At this point, I cannot eat anything like chocolate or any other thing I have pain in my stomach and I feel like I need to go to the washroom even after I drink water. My eyebrows are aching. I am 21 years old, I study and have a job too. All of this seems to affect my mental health. Should I be worried about anything doctor l?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I am already on antacids 7-LA syrup (three times) and tablet Roles D for two days. Yes, I do have cramps during periods and I always have strep throat before periods but since the past month it is been before and on my periods also I feel my health goes down, especially on weekends. Probably it is in my head. Now my temperature is 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit, it raises for an hour or two and comes down and periods of cramps and aches are different. These waves of fever have been since a month doc. I have been to ENT. General physician. Even consulted an oncologist online. He said there are no alarms of cancer. Should I contact a gynecologist because my throat is very sensitive during periods?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You are mostly having the premenstrual syndrome. This is mostly due to hormonal imbalances.

Any irregularities in periods? Any acne or skin lesions?

These temperature variations are might be due to hot flushes associated with hormonal imbalance. Please reply to me with answers to the above-asked questions so that I can guide you better.

Wish you good health. Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
