This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have gingivitis, and now my gums are a bit purple. I also think my gums are receding.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I can understand the situation you are going through right now. But do you have any habits like smoking or drinking alcohol? Then, I suggest you follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Use a soft bristle toothbrush and brush twice daily. If possible, replace your conventional toothbrush.
  2. Use toothpaste that contains Triclosan.
  3. Use mouthwash that contains 0.2 % chlorohexidine use this mouthwash two to three times daily for the next 15 days.
  4. Massage your gums gently each day. It results in great blood circulation inside the tissue that would eventually lead to healing.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
