Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have toothache and gum ache. My lower left jaw is in great pain, as well as upper left region near the wisdom tooth to some extent. I have experienced this pain earlier in the past but it used to fade away within few days. Now I tried to see through the mirror, but I could not see any swelling or anything. Please prescribe me some medicine which is easily available in the pharmacy.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your attachment (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) and query.

Yes, on the image, it does not seem to be infected.

Keep that site clean because that site with gum flap tends to increase food lodgement, so gargle with water after every meal.

Gargling with lukewarm water with a pinch of salt and do it two to three times a day.

Take tablet Zerodol P (Aceclofenac and Paracetamol) as and when needed on pain after food. But do not take more than two tablets per day. The interval between two tablets should be 6 to 8 hours.

All of the above measures will relieve you from pain.

After pandemic of COVID-19 then you can get it treated in the dental clinic. If the flap is covering the tooth, then a minor procedure called operculectomy will be performed in the clinic.

Write down for any further help and feedback.

Take care.
