Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. Post-delivery it is usual to lose hair. Therefore, I suggest you follow these measures. Increase protein intake in your diet. A protein-rich food is essential for hair growth. Have a healthy balanced diet. Eat eggs, milk, fish, curd, lentils, chicken, pulses, walnuts, and almonds. Improve your diet and nutrition, which is the key to healthy hair. Include spinach, broccoli, avocado, pineapple, kiwi, papaya, carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, seafood, cheese, sunflower oil, olive oil, peanuts, hazelnuts, fortified cereals, oats, cauliflower, onions, and whole grains in your diet. Drink a glass of carrot juice daily if possible and include oranges, berries, and sweet lime in the diet. Avoid hot showers and oiling the hair, as the chances of dandruff are high in oily hair. Use a comb with a broad tooth and avoid combing wet hair. Avoid stress and stay relaxed. Drink 7 to 8 glasses of water daily. Get a sound sleep (8 hours) and avoid tight hairstyles. (consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent). If there are itchy scalp or dandruff issues, apply an anti-fungal shampoo twice weekly for four weeks. Take a multivitamin tablet (Biotin) daily after breakfast for one month. Take Zinc capsule 100 mg once daily for one month. Thank you.

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response. Is it safe to use multivitamin tablets (Biotin) during breastfeeding? Thank you.
