Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen your query.

It seems you have female pattern hair loss. Since you have hypothyroidism, it may be one of the causes of hair fall in your case, otherwise 75 to 100 hair falling every day is very normal. So, it should be considered as hair loss only if the number of hair falls more than this.

Generalized hair falls in females are mostly due to stress, poor sleep, poor nutrition, and excessive blood loss due to menstruation. Stress alopecia is also common in which female keeps their hair very tight in a certain manner which creates tension in root and cause hair fall.

Straightening and other procedures also cause weakness of the root. Other conditions like fever, typhoid, malaria, thyroid, etc., can also cause hair fall, but these are less common.

Regarding treatment, I suggest you get good sleep. Eat proper food with green vegetables and fruits. Take multivitamins for at least three months. Check your blood hemoglobin. If it is less, then you should start an iron and Folic acid supplement. Also, check thyroid and diabetes to rule out other causes.

You can also apply 2 % Minoxidil (antihypertensive) topically during the night after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
