You say you do not have any health issues and not on any medications. But what about in the past six months? During that period did you have any prolonged illness or dietary restrictions? Any stress? Or a family history of hair loss?

Start the following medications and please know that any treatment of hair fall takes a long time to work and the maximum result can take up to six months to one year, so you need to be patient. Tablet Propecia (Finasteride) 1 mg one tablet daily. Rogaine lotion (Minoxidil) applies half a teaspoon twice a day at the affected scalp skin. Nizoral 2 % (Ketoconazole) shampoo, avoid hair oil if using and follow up after six weeks. Take care.

Yes, you will need a prescription for these medications. And the medications are both for preventing the further hair loss as well as for the regrowth, just be patient and you will see the results. Initially, you might even feel that hair loss is increasing as the shedding of weaker hair in initial phases of hair treatments is a common occurrence.
