Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a tooth filling before putting on some braces, but the tooth keeps hurting four months after the filling, and my breath smells bad as before the decay to the point that my pillows also smells bad now. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for consulting us at icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood you concern.

I will help you to solve the issue. Bad breaths may be due to dental caries, and fillings can be done with dental braces. So do not worry. Take an orthopantomogram and check if any secondary caries have developed.

Kindly follow up with further details.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

I will see another dentist and follow up with you.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Use salt water to rinse.

Use mouthwash.

Use interdental brushes given for braces.

Take pain killers.

I will suggest mild pain killers, after knowing your medical history.

Gargle after every meals.

Drink plenty of water.

Take proper diet.

Usually, braces itself will have food deposits and cause halitosis (bad breath). Do not worry. The bad breath will go away soon. These will give temporary relief.

Kindly follow up for further details.
