Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a sensation of tightness in the center of my head. I feel dizzy when I stand. I have had dizziness throughout the day for the last three weeks. I am not taking any medication except the Panadol tablet. I have taken blood tests and a CT scan. The CT scan report is normal. I am worried this could be a tumor. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I suggest you answer the questions mentioned below to assist you further:

1. Since when have you started having these headaches or tightness?

2. Is it only a tightness sensation or some other feelings like heaviness, bursting, pulsating, throbbing, or stretching sensation?

4. Your headaches or tightness are intermittent or persistent?

5. If intermittent, one episode of headache or tightness lasts how long without a painkiller tablet?

6. Do you have nausea or vomiting during a headache or tightness episode?

7. Have you noticed any specific trigger factor for this headache or tightness?

8. How frequent are these headaches or tightness?

9. Do you take any medications for your headache or tightness?

10. How is your vision for distant objects and near objects?

11. How is your sleep routine?

12. How is your usual mood in day-to-day activities?

I also suggest sharing the reports of your CT (computed tomography) scan and a photo clicked with the hand kept over the part of the head where you feel headache or tightness.

Thank you.
