Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I did not sleep for six days consecutively and developed headaches in the right half of my head. So I went to the hospital, where they gave me antipsychotics and sleep-inducing drugs. After a month, I stopped the antipsychotics and developed a severe headache in the same half of my head. It lasted for days and worsened with loud sounds or when I became angry or cried. I also developed a headache in the parietal region, not always present but more painful than the one localized at the forehead, for which I took some painkillers. Now, I wake up every day with a headache of moderate intensity in half of my right head. During the day, I developed painful localized headaches in the parietal region that felt like a needle puncture. Due to the pain, my memory worsened. What can I do? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

Is your headache throbbing? Does light noise and movement worsen it? Is it relieved by sleep? Does it worsen when you bend forward or cough? What are the medications prescribed to you? For migraine-type headaches, I suggest you take Sumatriptan 50 mg, one tablet single dose. You take it only once to abort the pain. Then, at night, you can take Etoricoxib 120 mg. Consult a specialist doctor, talk to them, and then take the medication. However, you must undergo a brain MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), especially for worsening memory. It is important to have brain imaging in conditions like worsening headaches.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it worsens when I bend forward. I also felt the presence of a liquid in the back of my nose. The doctors prescribed me Rexulti (Brexpiprazole) and Tavor (Lorazepam). When I took them, I felt the right half of my head heavy and one of my eyes hurting.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

Then, an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is needed. Please have a brain MRI plain and with contrast. I see you have medications for mood and anxiety. You can stop the medication if there are intolerable side effects, and you can go back to the doctor so they can change your medication.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
