Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am curious to know about life expectancy and how it may vary between genders. Could you provide insights into the factors that contribute to differences in life expectancy between men and women? Are there specific health considerations or lifestyle factors that play a significant role? Kindly let me know.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We are elated to have you on board at icliniq.

There are different factors that play a role in the health of males and females. Of these, hormones play a major role. Both males and females have different hormones due to which they have different potential in life. Females have estrogen and progesterone hormone while males have testosterone hormone. The testosterone hormone makes males more masculine and stronger. Progesterone and estrogen play a vital role in the female reproductive system. It also plays a very important role in the maintenance of the cardiovascular system as well. When females attain menopause due to hormonal changes, they are more likely to get osteoarthritis (a kind of arthritis that occurs when flexible tissues at the ends of bones wears down).Males need to be lean since they are involved in physical tasks. Males have high metabolism due to their body and hormones.

I hope you got answers to all the queries that you had. Do get back if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
