Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Is it possible to grow taller? I am 17 and 5 feet 4 inches. I get bullied at school because of it and was wondering if there is any way I could grow taller.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for your query.

You still have a few years to increase your height which stops around 19 to 20 years when bony plates fuse.

I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. To increase height take a protein-rich diet. Eat good protein-rich foods like lean meats, fish, poultry, egg white nuts, seeds, pulses, and legumes.

2. Milk is a height booster. Take it daily.

3. Eat healthy carbohydrates like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

4. Eat five to six small balanced meals per day rather than eating three large meals.

5. Protein powder and nutritional supplement drinks can be added.

6. Also, supplement your diet with a moderate amount of exercise.

7. Yoga may or may not be useful but above mentioned remedies will certainly increase your height.

If you have any further queries, feel free to ask.

Hope it helps you.

Thanks and regards.
