Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had high blood pressure, blurred vision, and giddiness. Cholesterol and sugar were normal. ECG showed variation. The heart pumping rate is low. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

There are some nonspecific changes in ECG (electrocardiogram). It is advised that blood pressure be controlled with medicines and lifestyle modifications. Do regular exercise, consume a Mediterranean diet, and refrain from smoking and alcohol. Please have an echocardiography done also. Kindly tell me your symptoms. Do you have chest discomfort on exertion, shortness of breath, or dizziness? Hypertension is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Please tell me what medicines you are taking currently and what doses.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

There is discomfort on exertion and dizziness. Also, I have been unable to sleep for the past week.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Continue medicines. Have echocardiography done so that further medicines can be adjusted. If chest discomfort on exertion is recent, angiography may also be needed. First, have echocardiography done. A heart rate of 55 beats per minute to 60 beats per minute is all right. This is the ideal heart rate at rest, but the rate should increase during activities. If it does not rise, then he may feel dizzy.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
