Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 57-year-old male who is 5' 6" feet tall and weighs around 165 pounds. I had open-heart surgery six years back, and I am well now. I am currently taking following medications daily: Amlogard 5 mg, Deplatt A75, Roseday 20, and Nitrest 5 mg. Because of this ongoing pandemic, I have taken a blood test. I would like you to go through the same and give me your valued feedback, recommendation, or medication.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity) are largely fine, with some minor derangements like low vitamin D and slightly elevated hs-CRP (high sensitivity C-reactive protein). Molybdenum is slightly low, and for that, you may have a diet rich in green beans, eggs, sunflower seeds, wheat flour, lentils, cucumbers, and cereal grain. You do not need to do anything specific for low beryllium. For low vitamin D, you should have tablet Uprise (Vitamin D3) D3 or Calcirol (Calcitriol- Vitamin D) sachet 60,000 units once a week for eight weeks and then once a month for the next six months, in the morning after breakfast with milk. For hs-CRP, you need to have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty oily and high-calorie foods and daily exercises. There is scope for some weight loss. From a cardiac point of view, as you are asymptomatic, you should continue all your medications as of now. You should keep track of your blood pressure (BP) and pulse rate intermittently by the electronic BP apparatus. I hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
