What can be done for high triglyceride level?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My triglycerides are over 600. Please suggest any medication. I run for 45 minutes daily.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Triglyceride levels are very high. I think you might have any metabolic or hormonal problem. I advise starting immediate healthy changes in your diet and lifestyle regimen. Take supplements containing plant sterols, red yeast rice, omega-3, co-enzyme Q10, and others. Fibrates to start but need a prescription from your caring doctor.

I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.

Thank you.
