Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I want to discuss my health issue with you. It is regarding my sexual encounter with a masseuse, which was protected, but before that, she touched my penis and masturbated for some time, and I am sure she did not use saliva or any lubricant for it. I also fingered her vagina. She put a condom on my penis, and I had vaginal sex. She was in the top position. It was just two to three minutes.
After two weeks, I had sex with my wife, which was unprotected, and after 15 to 20 days, she got a face allergy and a cut on the side of her mouth. The allergy on her face was itching, and the doctor gave her some anti-allergy medicines and eye drops, and within a week, that healed up. I am so scared that I may have gotten something from that encounter. I also got a UTI. The doctor gave me a tablet of Ciprofloxacin, but the UTI has still not cleared.
Later I changed the doctor, and he gave me a tablet of Levofloxacin and also checked my penis for pus, and there was no pus or discharge from my penis. I have pain and a burning sensation in the distal and medial phalanges. I also have pain in my toe and a burning sensation in my foot sole. Still, I feel uncomfortable with my penis sometimes.
I changed the doctor again, and he asked for a urine culture and ultrasound urine culture. It was fine. They did not find any bacteria in that, and the ultrasound showed the prostate enlarged. Even my wife is also feeling a burning sensation on her face and chin.
Please help and suggest.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for the query.
The chances of transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) by the given description are almost nil if a condom is used correctly. Urine culture reports are negative, meaning you do not have a urinary tract infection (UTI) currently. You have taken a course of antibiotics too. Consult your urologist if the symptoms persist, as it may be due to prostatitis.
Your wife's symptoms are unlikely to be related to sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) with the given description. Continue the treatment advised by your doctor. If you are anxious, you can go for a sexually transmitted disease panel test in a reliable laboratory.
Please follow up with the laboratory reports.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Here, I am attaching the report. I have done this in two different laboratory.
Thank You.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com
Thank you for the follow-up query.
I have reviewed your reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). All the tests in the report are negative except herpes simplex virus (HSV) IgG, which is positive. It implies you had a past infection with herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) can be transmitted by skin-to-skin contact or kissing or as a sexually transmitted disease (STD). The chances are higher when there are active lesions at the time of contact.
Please follow up if you have any concerns.
Take care.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Is there anything serious about it? Here I am attaching the second laboratory report and did a rapid test also, which came negative also for a 3H viral test. As I had protected sex, I tested after 56 days. So it is all fine. Any further testing is needed.
Thank You.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Thank you for the follow-up query.
The herpes simplex virus (HSV1) IgG antibody test is positive. It indicates you had a past infection. Currently, you may not have any lesions. You have to recall if you had any tiny water-filled lesions, usually in groups occurring around the oral cavity or genitals or anywhere in the body.
They are not serious diseases. But it is known for recurrence. Some may be asymptomatic too. They are transmitted by skin-to-skin contact or kissing or as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The chances of transmission are higher when there are active lesions.
You can go for a human immunodeficiency virus antibodies test after 90 days of exposure to be relieved of anxiety totally and get conclusive results.
I hope this helps.
