Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Can I use Hydroquinone cream and tretinoin to remove dark spots on my leg?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern. Yes, absolutely you may use a combination of Hydroquinone and Tretinoin on dark spots on your legs. However, I suggest you to follow the following,

1. Make sure you use the cream only at night.

2. Make sure to apply only a thin layer on the affected area.

3. Make sure to use sunscreen in the morning without fail. Reapply sunscreen every two hours daily from 9am to 5pm

4. You may discontinue the cream after three weeks.

5. Use Melaglow-rich cream (Liquorice extract, p-Tero White, Arbutin, Niacinamide, and Kojic acid) instead of this cream after three weeks. Melaglow-rich cream can be continued for eight plus months till the spots reduce in intensity

6. Content of capsule. Evion 400 (vitamin E capsule) + aloe vera gel of any brand can be mixed and applied on the spots every day in the evening, kept on for three to four hours, and washed off. They will help in reducing the pigmentation faster. I hope this helps.

Thank you
