Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A few days ago, I sprained my ankle, and got an injection. Four days later, a part of my left buttock is numb, and I still feel a bit of pain at the injection site. However, this is not the only problem I am facing; my lower right abdomen is painful on pressing, and discharge mixed with blood is coming out. I had an STI last year and got it treated.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Local infection at the injection site is not uncommon, and the treatment is based on the extent of inflammation and infection. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications are required. Please send me some photos of the injection site. From what you mentioned, discharge from the site of injection means an infection requiring antibiotics. Pain in the right lower tummy could be due to many causes, such as appendicitis, ovarian cysts, or bowel colics.

Kindly revert for further queries.

Thank you.
