Hello doctor,
I have been wearing the same Invisalign for the past one year. I cannot afford to get a retainer. Should I just stop wearing them until I can afford to remove my brackets? Kindly help.

I can understand your concern.
Invisalign is designed to deliver force to move the teeth. Wearing it for long periods beyond the suggested period will damage the periodontal ligament of your teeth and cause tooth mobility. The retainer has to be worn immediately after removing it otherwise the teeth will start reverting back to their original position. I suggest you choose Hawley's appliance or invisible retainer, whichever is affordable for you.
