Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a weird itchiness on my face. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please provide the following information:

  1. Since when do you have this problem?
  2. Is there a history of an application of creams or threading or waxing of the face?
  3. Is it present over one side or both?
  4. Is this the first episode?
  5. Is any other body part involved?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for replying. It is only on the left side. This is the first time I am experiencing something like this. I did not get any threading, waxing or facial done. I drink beer and I smoke. It has been two days since it started. I also have viral warts on my face. I am attaching a picture of the itchiness as well as this.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have seen the pictures (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The redness on the cheeks looks like an allergic reaction. I suggest applying Desowen cream (Desonide) once daily for three days. It will reduce the itching and redness. As it is a topical steroid, do not over use it. Warts on the face should be electrocauterized. Please visit a dermatologist for the same. If not removed, it can increase in number.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is electrocauterization an expensive treatment?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is not very expensive. The cost varies from one practitioner to another. It is done in most of the private clinics.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
