Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 36-year-old software professional. My problem is that I am getting itching in the private parts area and over the skin area of the testis balls. I have been using Fourderm cream occasionally, but it did not solve my problem. So, could you please advise on some medications to overcome the problem permanently?

Answered by Dr. Nagaraj

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I have a couple of questions. Have you checked for blood sugar levels at any time? If not, please get it done once. Do you have pain or a burning sensation while urination? Is there any discharge from the penis? Was there any sexual encounter? Also, note that such medications cannot be taken occasionally. There is a course which you need to complete to get a cure. Also sorry to inform medications cannot be prescribed over chat mode due to telemedicine guidelines. If you wish, you may schedule a video consultation for an appropriate course of action.

Hope this helps.

Take care.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

My sugar levels are normal. No pain or burning sensation during urination. I did not have any intercourse. My problem is itchy testicles because of wetness or sweat. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Noted and saw the reports (attachments are hidden to protect the patient's identity). Note that your sugar levels are not normal. Your fasting levels are impaired, and your HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin) is borderline. Most likely, you are having a fungal infection that needs optimum duration of medicine. Along with medicine, you need to follow good hygiene. As mentioned earlier, I cannot prescribe medicines via chat mode due to telemedicine guidelines. Feel free to schedule a phone or video consultation for a prescription.

Be assured it is definitely treatable.

Thanks.
