Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I contacted you last year with a stone problem which was stuck in my VUJ and came out after taking your medicine. Now since two days, I again have similar symptoms like before, but this time on the left side. I have severe pain with fever in between. I also have frequent urination with burning sensation. I got my routine RE done and found blood ++ and acidic ++ . Also, found calculus in calyx 5 mm and 5 mm in the ureter. I took Paracetamol and currently, on Encorate chrono 300 mg. Please suggest what to do now?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The size of the calculus in the ureter is 6 mm (attachment removed to protect patient identity). This may also come out on its own. So, we will try with medicines as last time. You, please take tablet Veltam (Tamsulosin) 0.4 mg every night for two weeks, tablet Levofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for seven days, tablet Pan (Pantoprazole) 40 mg in the morning for seven days and tablet Voveran SR (Diclofenac) 75 mg morning and evening for seven days. Drink plenty of water. We will do some tests to see why you are forming stones. If possible, catch the stone and send for analysis (stone analysis). If you develop severe pain or continuous fever that are not improving with medicines, then kindly immediately contact urologist as it may require removal through an endoscope. Repeat ultrasound after two weeks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
