Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I was suggested to use Cartigen-Duo and Miol OD tablets to cure knee pain, which is due to some cartilage damage. How these medicines helpful for this purpose? What is the exact use of Cartigen-Duo and Miol OD tablets? Are there any side effects of the above two medicines? Is there any better alternative to both the medicines in this case? Please explain.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Cartigen-Duo tablets containing Glucosamine are claimed to help in building joint cartilage, but the results can vary. They may be more effective in the early stages of the disease than in the later stages. Miol-OD is a multivitamin supplement that you can try to see if it provides any relief. Both medications are generally safe but may cause gastric upset in some cases. For better results, consider visiting a physiotherapist to learn quadriceps strengthening exercises. Additionally, you can apply Volini gel (Diclofenac) locally on the leg to alleviate pain.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
