Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I feel pain in my left knee when I sit in any place for a long time. But I felt it first after playing football. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. The symptoms you tell are pointing towards the chondromalacia patella. I suggest the following.

  1. Activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily.
  2. If the knee is swollen or sore, avoid squatting, kneeling, twisting, pivoting, jogging, aerobics, dancing, and playing sport.
  3. Do stretching exercises.
  4. I suggest taking X-rays of both knees in anteroposterior, lateral, and skyline views. But consult a specialist and go further. I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
