Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I burnt my throat with a vape a few years ago. My throat felt very raw and I had a very bad cough that followed. However, I still have a rawness in my throat and a bad cough. My throat is constantly filled with phlegm. I feel the pain in my throat positioned to the right under Adam's apple. When drinking alcohol or speaking loudly, I can feel the phlegm build up in the location. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern. The effect of a vape cannot remain so long. It seems you are experiencing chronic symptoms because the stimulus to irritate the throat is continuously there. It is most probably a case of acid reflux from the stomach into the throat which is irritating and causes inflammation. Therefore, you are having the constant urge to clear your throat. So, I suggest you need to take treatment for laryngopharyngeal reflux. I hope this has helped you. Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
