I am trying to get pregnant and could not detect my LH surge. Kindly help.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 29-year-old woman. I am trying to get pregnant, but I am a little concerned that I may not be ovulating. I checked for LH hormone surge last month, and I could not detect one using ovulation test kits. I have hypothyroidism, for which I am taking 75 mg Levothyroxine, and currently, my TSH levels are normal. I was wondering if I would take the over the counter supplement. I see good reviews from many users. Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The good news is that the TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) hormone is normal because the abnormal level can affect ovulation. I would recommend trying to conceive on the 12th to 16th day of your cycle. It is the period there is a high chance. Second, I would recommend detecting ovulation with ultrasound examination. And yes, you can use the supplement as it is suppose to induce fertility.
