Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was riding my longboard and lost control at about 20 to 25 km/h. I fell and initially landed on my right knee. The pain only lasted for a day. Now, when I apply weight onto my right knee, it feels like a portion of the weight is being applied directly to the knee rather than being distributed onto my tibia. There is no pain, but I do notice a limit in the range of motion in my right knee compared to my left. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I want to know that are you able to squat comfortably and completely.

Patient's Query

Thank you so much for the reply doctor.

Yes, I can squat completely, but I am not confident to do it quickly. My knee feels the most unusual and weakest when I stand up straight and lock the knee.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Well sometimes after trauma, you may have an injury to the ligaments. Now there can be a tear of the ligament or strain of the ligament. Whatever it is, initially symptoms can be the same and treatment is also the same. So I would suggest you take anti-inflammatory medication for 10 to 14 days and you need to strengthen your ligaments. I would suggest you take medications for 10 to 14 days and let the inflammation settle down and later on start with exercises that strengthen your knee joint.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
