Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have three small lumps on my stomach. One on top of my stomach (above my belly button), one on the left side of my belly button, and another below. It's been more than three months. I am not sure if my stomach is hurting or itching because of the lumps. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. If you can feel the lumps, that means the nodes are under the skin superficially and not in the stomach as stomach lumps can not be palpated. Secondly, these lumps under the skin are lipomas and are benign. They do not pose any threat at all. If you want to get them removed for cosmetic reasons, you may go ahead, but they will not make you sick. However, to confirm these are lipomas, I will need to see them. So you can share the picture of these and book an appointment with me. If you have a stomach ache, the chances are that the cause of this stomach ache is different and not these lumps. Do not worry about it you will be fine. Do not stress out. I hope this helps.

Thank you.
