Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old teenager. I feel empty and my world is falling apart. I am confused and I do not know what to do. Where to start? I do not have a focused career anymore and I realized everyone around me including my parents are not concerned about me. I feel abandoned. The love of my life has left me. I gave up on myself. I feel I should suicide but I am scared. Is there any hope? I did not see one. I have tried trying but I just do not have the strength to do anything anymore. In all fields of my life, my love, my career, family, and friends I keep falling apart. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

After reading your history I may say that you are having symptoms of depression. First of all, I would like to tell you that depression is very common and it is treatable. I suggest you start treatment as soon as possible. For you, I would suggest two types of treatment.

1. Take a tablet of Nexito (Escitalopram) 10 mg daily one tablet after dinner and a tablet of Etizolam 0.5 mg at night in case your sleep is disturbed. This you should continue at least for nine months.

2. Second treatment is psychotherapy where you have to consult a psychologist who will give you therapy in sessions. It will augment the effect of medicines. This will take some time to relieve your depression but it will work surely. Meanwhile, you spend more time with people who love you, spend time on what you like, make a timetable for your daily activities, and do meditation. I am sure you will win over depression.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
