Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have something growing down on my vaginal wall for the past few years. It looks like a tumor. I am attaching my scan reports. It has become double the size within a week. I have pain after sex. I have developed bloating after I eat. I feel hungry, but I am unable to eat a lot. I have to pee often. I have intense pain often. I got my period at my eight years of age. In my past years, my periods have been weird which was very short and there is clotting. I had a miscarriage before five years. I lost a ton of tissue and blood. I had a Lymes disease at my 14 years of age, and the doctors prescribed antibiotics for a year. I had colitis at my 21 years of age, and the doctor prescribed medications for a year.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your CT scan shows diffuse infiltrative cervical mass which is extending to involve the anterior wall of the rectum. It is causing resultant stenosis of the cervical canal leading to a collection within the endometrial cavity. There is no visible involvement of the uterus is seen. In simple terms, your scan shows cervical mass. These features are highly concerning for malignancy involving the cervix, and it needs priority attention.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Does it involve the uterus too? Not sure of the endometrial cavity. What it means?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The cervix is the lower part of the uterus. The endometrial cavity is the cavity of the uterus where the baby grows and it is the lining that sheds to cause menstruation.
