I have a few painless bumps on my penis. What could it be?

I have a few bumps on my penis skin. I do masturbate. I am concerned because I do not know what might have caused this or what these bumps are. They do not burn. I have not experienced any discharge or burning sensation. I am confused what this is. I am attaching a picture.

These small painless nodules might be caused by hair follicles. It does not seem to be infected. As you mentioned that they are painless, without any discharge or any redness or tenderness around them, you need not do anything about them.

However, you can use a steroid-based ointment for local application. The steroid based ointment will help subside this.

Besides these, look for these warning signs: itching, discharge from nodules, pain on touching, redness and tenderness on or around the nodules. If any of these signs develop, you will need to consult a doctor in person.

Meanwhile, maintain genital hygiene as follows. Regularly wash the genitals with mild soap and water. Keep them dry. Do not share your under garment. Frequently change your undergarments. You can use dusting powder to keep the area dry.

These measures will help in maintaining genital hygiene as well as prevent any infection in the future.
