Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I got married before seven years and till I do not have a baby. My periods are regular in an interval of 28 days. For this month, I did not get my periods yet. But, my urine pregnancy test was negative. My doctor suggested me to have uterine fibroids and she gave Sysron NCR and Predmet 16 mg for 3 days. But, still I did not get periods. So, please suggest me what problem I have. And why she gave those tablets to me? Please explain.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Surely the drug regime that you are following will help you to delay the cycle more. Predmet is a steroid (Methylprednisolone), which is essentially notorious for delaying cycle. I think this delay could be due to any form of other drugs you have already taken indiscriminately or it could be due to any pre-existing pathology like polycystic ovaries or thyroid disorders. I suggest you to stop all form of drugs you are taking. Still you have to wait for at least two weeks for clearance of these drugs. Nothing could be done now.

Investigations to be done

Get the blood test done. Serum FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), LH (Luteinizing hormone), TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and prolactin.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
