Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
For past four days my son aged four years has been suffering from constipation. He goes for toilet multiple times but it seems the stool is hard and it comes out in very little amount. We are giving him fruit juices and water often and have started giving him Looz 1 teaspoon since yesterday, but not much recovery sign is there. What could be the root cause? He is taking food in the morning as well as evening but he looks very weak, dried up and uneasy especially in the evening. A nearby doctor has prescribed Looz and Digene gel. I would like to know what is your opinion regarding this?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concerns.
Constipation is a very common problem in children, it is mainly caused by stomach infection, worms in intestine and due to eating of food with less fiber. In my opinion, you should give syrup Looz (Lactulose) one teaspoon three times a day for three days, syrup Zenflox plus (combination of Cefixime and Ofloxacin) one teaspoon three times a day for three days and syrup Bandy plus (Albendazole) two teaspoon at night before sleep once (deworming drug).
Review back after two days to a pediatrician online.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
