Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety five years ago, and since then I was on continuous treatment. Two months back, I had many side effects and other health issues for which I tapered and stopped all medications. It has been hardly four to five days since I left tablets and now I am again having continuous thoughts about my past painful experiences, and I am repeatedly blaming my mother for hurting me. I do not want to start medications. Can you help me any other way?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was on Sertraline for a few months. But I had pain in the abdomen on the left side. Initially, I thought it was renal calculi but nothing showed on the scan. Later pain stopped when the doctor reduced the dose. I take tablet Propranolol 40 mg for palpitations which increases on lying down and when I am in a crowd or a new situation or bad situation. I also have anxiety when I open my book to study and my palpitations increase. The doctor also put me on a tablet Vortioxetine 20 mg once. Then tablet Topiramate 100 mg because of my depression and irritation if I gain weight. My psychiatrist suddenly changed and he stopped Sertraline and put me on Bupropion 150 mg. After which I had severe constipation and had fissure. I suffered pain for almost more than a month. I discontinued Bupropion after 15 days. Along with the fissure I started having severe pain and numbness in my leg and on MRI, I found to have disc prolapse. So after all this, I stopped my medications.
