Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My girlfriend and I had sex without penetration about two weeks ago. I had a severe flu when this happened. There was no penetration, and it was unprotected without clothes. She is still a virgin. She has been having irregular periods. The only contact with the vulva was with the precum. The day after we had intercourse, she was feeling headaches and flu. She has not had her period at all yet but has experienced some mood fluctuations, sore breasts, light fatigue, and fever. What are the chances that she is pregnant or just having hormonal imbalances, fever, and irregularity in periods?

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Your spouse has developed and missed her period due to a condition called premenstrual syndrome based on her symptomatic presentation. Let her do a hormone profile test and reply with the result. Kindly give her the following medications:

  1. Tablet Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg.
  2. Tablet Norethisterone 5 mg.
  3. Tablet Sertraline (antidepressant) 50 mg.
  4. Tablet Piroxicam (NSAID) 40 mg.

If her symptoms persist, schedule another follow-up appointment via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
