Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Objects appear small when I try to visualize through one eye. My other eye appears normal. Spherical power in the right eye is 2.00 D and left eye is 1.00 D. Cylindrical power in the right eye is 0.75 D and left eye is 1.25 D. Axis in the right eye is 0.66 D and left eye is 114 D. Addition in the right eye is 2.25 D and left eye is 2.25 D. I am currently taking tablet Cialis 5 mg.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are myopic for distance vision. During the age of 40 years, our eye muscles fail to accommodate and lose their power. So, it would help if you use a lens. This difference will not cause objects to appear smaller when looking through one eye only but remain of the same size when looking through the other eye as well.

Thank you doctor for the reply,

Is my diminished vision related to tablet Cialis or ocular migraine? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have a refractive error in your eyes, which can be corrected with spectacles. Tablet Cialis (Tadalafil) will not cause a refractive error. However, rarely people with hypertension, diabetes, or heart disease, and people who take tablet Cialis (Tadalafil) are more prone to a condition called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) which can cause either temporary or permanent vision loss. From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), your vital signs and blood sugar levels are normal. Check your blood cholesterol level. Do exercise and follow a proper diet.

What is the reason for my diminished vision?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have myopic astigmatism in both eyes with more power in the right eye. There is no reason for that. Your glasses will be thick to correct that refractive error. Glasses cause images to appear smaller than real life-size.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
